Looking to work for an organisationShow

Prospective employers can apply for an Employment Pass (EP), S Pass, or DP-Work Permit (DP-WP) for their DP holders.

DP holders who get an EP or S Pass:

  • Are required to meet prevailing EP or S Pass qualifying criteria.
  • Will be granted the work and stay privileges associated with an EP or S Pass.
  • Will no longer be dependent on the main pass holder for their stay in Singapore. They will need to have their DP cancelled before their EP or S Pass is issued.
Prospective employers can use the Self-Assessment Tool (SAT) to check if the candidate qualifies for an EP or S Pass.

DP holders who get a DP-WP:

  • Can be of any nationality/citizenship.
  • Are not subject to a minimum qualifying salary.
  • Will have their DP-WP’s validity period tied to their DP.
  • Are not subject to the six-monthly medical examination and security bond requirements.
  • Do not need their employer to provide medical insurance for them if they are already covered under a medical insurance plan that meets MOM’s minimum mandatory insurance coverage requirement.
  • Will be subject to the relevant Work Permit quota and levy. The DP-WP levy rates are aligned to the lowest levy rates for each business sector (and the applicable levy tier for Manufacturing and Services sectors), as shown in the table below:
