How to appeal if your foreign domestic worker's renewal is refused

You can make an appeal if MOM turns down your request to renew a helper’s permit. Appeals are often unsuccessful when no new information is given in the appeal.

Before submitting your appeal, check our “non-renewal letter” to see why we were unable to allow you to renew the helper's Work Permit.

Submit your appeal through iSubmit. Select option 7: Issuance & Renewal Matters and upload your appeal and any supporting documents.

It takes at least 3 weeks to process the appeal, depending on the complexity of the case.

Note: If you do want to appeal, send it in early. Priority will not be given to a helper whose permit is expiring or has expired. We will impose an overstaying fine of up to $500 if your helper does not have a valid pass to remain in Singapore.
