In view of the COVID-19 situation, there is no need to visit MOM Services Centre for advisory and transaction services. If you have made an appointment with us, we will contact you instead. Our eServices, web chat and hotline remain available. We encourage customers to visit our website for the latest updates, including changes to our work pass services from 7 April to 4 May.

How to appeal if your foreign domestic worker's renewal is refused

You can make an appeal if MOM turns down your request to renew a helper’s permit. Appeals are often unsuccessful when no new information is given in the appeal.

Before submitting your appeal, check our “non-renewal letter” to see why we were unable to allow you to renew the helper's Work Permit.

Submit your appeal and supporting documents, if any.

It takes about 3 weeks to process the appeal, depending on the complexity of the case.

Note: If you do want to appeal, send it in early. Priority will not be given to a helper whose permit is expiring or has expired. We will impose an overstaying fine of up to $500 if your helper does not have a valid pass to remain in Singapore.
