Quality

We are committed to producing statistics with the highest professional standards.

We adopt the International Labour Organisation (ILO) guidelines on concepts and definitions of labour statistics. We also subscribe to the Special Data Dissemination Standards (SDDS) established by the International Monetary Fund (IMF) for the dissemination of key statistics.

Our statistical activities for key data are guided by four dimensions:

  1. Coverage, periodicity and timeliness of the data.
  2. Public access.
  3. Integrity of the disseminated data.
  4. Quality of the disseminated data

In terms of classification of data, we adhere to the national statistical classification standards which conform to the basic principles and guidelines provided in international standards.

Timeliness

As labour market statistics are important indicators in the monitoring of the economy, we strive to disseminate statistical information at the earliest possible date, while maintaining high data quality. We adhere to the expected release dates of regular statistical publications and statistics in accordance with our Future Release Calendar.

Relevance

We produce statistics that meet users’ needs, within available resources. We also ensure our statistics remain relevant in a changing socio-economic environment.
