Note: You may only submit 1 work pass application per candidate at a time. For example, you may only apply for either an Overseas Networks & Expertise Pass or Employment Pass for your candidate at any one time.
What is the eligibility criteria

Candidates need to meet one of the criteria below: 

  • Earned a fixed monthly salary of at least S$30,000 (or its equivalent in foreign currency) for the last 12 consecutive months
  • Will earn a fixed monthly salary of at least S$30,000 under their future employer in Singapore 

Tip: Even if you do not meet the salary criterion, you may still qualify if you have outstanding achievements in certain sectors.

What is the duration

The duration of the pass is as follows:

  • First-time candidates: 5 years
  • Subsequent renewals: 5 years
Is it renewable Yes, upon meeting the renewal criteria.
Foreign worker levy or quota No foreign worker levy or quota required.

Features of the pass

The key features of the pass include the following:

  • Exemption from Complementarity Assessment Framework (COMPASS) and Fair Consideration Framework job advertising requirements
  • Flexibility to concurrently start, operate and work for multiple companies at any one time (subject to your employment contract terms, where relevant)
  • No need to reapply for a pass if you change jobs
  • Availability of passes for eligible family members
  • Your spouse will be able to apply to work on a Letter of Consent.

You may be required to pay income tax.

    • Notify MOM about your professional activities and annual income by 31 January of the next year.

      You should also notify MOM about any changes to your residential address or personal information.

    • Apply for a replacement if your pass card is lost, stolen or damaged.
    • Cancel your pass if you no longer require it.
