She used to lend customers a credit line, now she lends a helping hand to the sick

After 14 years as a credit approval manager in banking, Angeline made a bold career switch to nursing at the age of 42.

Supported by the Career Conversion Programme for registered nurses, she enrolled in a Diploma in Nursing at Ngee Ann Polytechnic, driven by a desire to make a greater impact in people's lives.

Her passion was shaped by her parents who have fostered nearly 40 children over the years. Witnessing their commitment to helping others left a lasting impact on her.

"I wanted to do something more fulfilling and meaningful in my career," she says.

Looking back, Angeline has consistently embraced every opportunity to learn and adapt as she moved from digital media and film into finance, and later pursuing courses in fund management and business communications.

Angeline found that many of the skills she had developed in banking such as attention to detail and risk management, remained relevant in nursing.

"I've always believed learning doesn't stop at any stage of life," she says. "Every experience I've had has helped prepare me for this next chapter."
