Key facts on Primary Care Plan

From 1 April 2022, under Primary Healthcare System (PHS), you must buy a Primary Care Plan (PCP) for eligible workers. You can buy from Anchor Operators (AOs).

What is it

Employers must buy PCP for eligible workers which will cover most of the workers' primary healthcare needs under a fixed scope of services.

Services include:

  • Medical examination, consultations and treatments for acute (e.g. flu, fever) and chronic (e.g. hypertension) conditions.
  • Health screening

Eligible workers can get these services at:

  • 24/7 telemedicine services (FWMOMCare)
  • Medical centres
  • Designated GP clinics in partnership with Anchor Operators

How much is the PCP $108 to $138 per worker per year, pay in monthly instalments.
How long is the PCP valid for

Valid for 12 months.

Upon expiry, it is automatically renewed for another 12 months unless terminated by the employer.

When to buy PCP

You can also choose to buy the PCP in advance once you receive the in-principle approval letter or work pass renewal notice for your worker.

For all eligible workers whose passes are not due for renewal until after 1 April 2023, you must purchase PCP for them by 31 March 2023.
