Renew, cancel or replace a Letter of Consent for ICA-issued LTVP/LTVP+ holders

Employers can cancel a Letter of Consent (LOC) or apply to renew it before it expires. Employers can also request for a replacement if you have lost the LOC.

Renew an LOC

Who can renew Employer or appointed employment agent (EA).
How much it costs Free.
How long it takes

1 week. Some cases will take more time.

What is required

Before applying, check that the LTVP/LTVP+ is valid for at least 3 months.

If it is not, you need to go to ICA to renew the LTVP/LTVP+.

When to renew You can apply to renew up to 6 months before the LOC expires.

Ensure that your organisation’s turnover information for the past 3 years has been updated before submitting the application.

Replace an LOC

If you have lost your LOC, you need to report the loss and request for a replacement.

Cancel an LOC

When to cancel

Within 1 week after the LOC holder's last day of notice.

You can submit a cancellation request up to 14 days in advance.

If you want the pass to be cancelled on 15 February, you can submit the advance cancellation request from 1 February.

Before cancelling

You need to:

  1. Seek tax clearance from the Inland Revenue Authority of Singapore (IRAS).
  2. Settle all outstanding employment issues that the LOC holder may raise, including salary payment.

When to cancel the LOC

You can submit a cancellation request up to 14 days in advance.

If you want the pass to be cancelled on 15 February, you can submit the advance cancellation request from 1 February.

The latest the LOC must be cancelled is 1 week after the LOC holder’s last day of notice.

If the LOC has expired, you do not need to cancel it.
