From July 2026: Cancel Work Permit function on myMOM Portal

Cancelling your worker’s Work Permit is now more seamless. Upload any required supporting documents directly within the same transaction. If more time is needed to send the worker home, submit a Special Pass extension request on myMOM Portal. You can also give consent for your work to transfer to a new employer, without leaving myMOM Portal.

Cancel Work Permit

Request to cancel Work Permit

      Before 20 July 2026

      • Log in to Work Permit (WP) Online to cancel your worker’s Work Permit.
      • If required, submit supporting documents using a separate online form.

       

      From 20 July 2026

      • Log in to myMOM Portal to cancel your worker’s Work Permit.
      • If required, upload supporting documents within the same transaction.

      Before 20 July 2026

      • Requests that require supporting documents may take up to 3 days to approve. Log in to WP Online to view the outcome.
      • For requests that do not require supporting documents, you can view the outcome using WP Online after 30 minutes.

       

      From 20 July 2026

      • Outcome of requests to cancel Work Permit is immediately available after completing the cancellation process on myMOM Portal.
      • You will also receive an acknowledgement letter to your email address that you provided.

      A Special Pass is granted upon successful cancellation of a Work Permit for the purpose of repatriation.

  • Use WP Online to request for a Special Pass or Special Pass extension
  • If further extension is required, submit request with supporting documents (where applicable) via a separate online form

From 20 July 2026

  • Use myMOM Portal to request for a Special Pass or Special Pass extension
  • If further extension is required, use myMOM Portal to submit request with supporting documents (where applicable)  

Before 20 July 2026

  • Receive email or SMS notification to give consent for transfer of worker to another employer.
  • Log in to WP Online to indicate if you are giving consent for the transfer.

After 20 July 2026

  • Log in to access the new function on myMOM Portal to indicate if you are giving consent for the transfer.
