The National Wages Council Convenes to Develop Annual Guidelines

1. The National Wages Council (NWC), a tripartite body comprising employer, employee and government representatives1, will convene on 1 September 2025 to develop its annual guidelines (covering 1 December 2025 - 30 November 2026) on wage and employment-related issues.

2. In its deliberations, the NWC will take into account Singapore's economic competitiveness, labour market conditions, inflation, productivity growth, as well as the global economic outlook. The NWC will also continue to set out its annual guidance on the range of Progressive Wage growth for lower-wage workers. The NWC aims to release its guidelines by November 2025.

3. Members of the public are welcome to share their views on wage-related issues, and their suggestions on the upcoming guidelines. Feedback can be submitted to the NWC Secretariat at https://go.gov.sg/nwc25-26publicfeedback by 1 September 2025.
