Ongoing Investigations at Westlite Woodlands Dormitory

  1. On 20 April, a 35-year-old migrant worker (case 62181) living in Westlite Woodlands Dormitory was tested for COVID-19 as part of Rostered Routine Testing (RRT). The Assurance, Care and Engagement Group under the Ministry of Manpower (MOM) and the Ministry of Health (MOH) took swift public health actions, isolated and placed on quarantine his close contacts at the dormitory and workplace.

  2. One person placed under quarantine (PUQ) who is a room-mate of this case was found to be COVID-19 positive at a dedicated quarantine facility. As a precautionary measure, COVID-19 tests was conducted on all residents at the dormitory. To date, 10 workers who were previously serology positive were found to be COVID-19 positive. These cases were immediately isolated and conveyed to the National Centre for Infectious Diseases (NCID) to investigate for possible re-infection.

  3. MOM and MOH are currently investigating the cases and more information will be shared in due course.
