What should I do if my GIRO deduction for levy payment was unsuccessful?

You should pay your outstanding levy immediately using Check and pay levy. Your payment will be updated in 3 working days.

You can also use other payment methods, which will take up to 5 working days to be updated.

Because of your unsuccessful GIRO payment, you are charged a late payment penalty. If we do not receive your payment by end of the month, you may face the following penalties:

  • Your existing Work Permits will be cancelled.
  • You won’t be allowed to apply for or issue new Work Permits, or renew existing Work Permits.
  • For business employers, if you, your partners or directors head other companies, these companies will not be allowed to apply for Work Permits.
