If your GIRO deduction was unsuccessful, it means that your bank did not allow us to make the deduction for levy payment. As a result, you are charged a late payment penalty, and you will need to:
- Pay your outstanding levy immediately using PayNow QR.
- Check the Payment tab to find out why the GIRO deduction was unsuccessful. Your bank provides this information, and you should contact them directly for clarification if needed.
- Fix the problem immediately to avoid further unsuccessful GIRO deductions and incurring further late payment penalties.
Your next levy bill may be higher than usual due to penalty charges incurred for the late payment. To ensure the next deduction is successful, you need to:
- Address the reason for the deduction failure
- Check that your GIRO deduction limit (if any) is sufficient to cover the amount that you are billed
