What language should I use for the written Key Employment Terms (KETs)?

You are encouraged to provide the KETs in a language that your employees understand.

If this is not possible, you are encouraged to verbally communicate the KETs in a language that the employee understands, in addition to providing the KETs in soft or hard copy.

It is in the employers’ interest to ensure that both you and your employees reach a mutual understanding about the KETs to prevent misunderstandings or disputes from arising.
