Under the C2. Qualifications criterion, applicants may be awarded 10 points if they hold:
- Qualifications assessed to be comparable to a bachelor’s degree by international recognition bodies (such as the UK National Information Centre – ENIC system).
- Professional qualifications that are well-recognised by the industry and endorsed by a relevant sector agency.
Degree Programmes from PEIs
To be awarded COMPASS C2 10 points, applicants should have qualifications from awarding institutions that are evaluated by international recognition bodies, such as the UK ENIC. For applicants with degree programmes offered by PEIs and awarded by overseas partner universities recognised by UK ENIC, employers should select the name of the awarding overseas partner university in their application forms.
Non-Degree Qualifications from PEIs
COMPASS C2 points are not accorded for non-degree PEI qualifications (e.g. self-developed diplomas including postgraduate and professional qualifications) by default. Professional qualifications may be considered if they are well-recognised by the industry and endorsed by a sector agency.
You can refer to the list of relevant sector agencies and the respective areas they cover. PEIs may approach the relevant sector agencies (based on their course content) for evaluation. Professional qualifications have to be endorsed by the respective sector agencies in order to be considered for inclusion.
