S Pass - Inform MOM

Update of details

Employers or S Pass holders must update us in the circumstances listed below:

Change of employer

To apply for a new S Pass whenever the S Pass holder changes employer. There is no need to cancel the existing pass before doing so. Each application will be considered based on the merits of the case.

Change of business entity (Change in CPF Submission Number)

Companies with change of business entity (For example, Sole Proprietorship to Private Limited company) may apply to transfer their foreign employees from the old to the new business entity if they meet the below criteria:

Eligibility criteria

  • New business entity must conduct the same business activities as the old business entity
  • The company must pay all outstanding levy charges under the old business entity
  • Old business entity has to terminate its registration with the Accounting and Corporate Regulatory Authority (ACRA)
  • At least one of the new business entity directors/partners/sole-proprietor must be the same director/partner/sole-proprietor of the old business entity
Note: Please note that this is not applicable to the following scenarios: restructuring, takeover by another company, merger of companies, transfer between subsidiaries/ associates. For such cases, a new S Pass application must be submitted.

How to apply:

    1. Submit a Declaration of Business Activity for the new business entity (with new CPF submission number), before making a request for change of business entity.
    2. Download Request Form for Change of Business EntityRequest Form for Change of Business Entity.
    3. Submit electronic/scanned copy of the completed form via iSubmit web portal. Please select ‘6. Work Permit Application Matters for Business Sectors’ under ‘Request Type’ on the web portal.

      Processing time

      • Your request will be processed within 14 working days
      • If the application is unsuccessful and the old business entity has terminated its registration with ACRA, the old business entity will have to cancel the S Passes and repatriate the S Pass holders to their home countries.

      Change of company name (Without any change in Legal Entity/Registration Number)

      Change of company address

      To notify Central Provident Fund (CPF) Board and update MOM Work Pass Division via:

      Change of salary

      To notify MOM Work Pass Division in writing.

      Change of designation

      To notify MOM Work Pass Division by submitting a letter with the signatories of the employer and the employee on the new designation and its duties.

      If the request for change of designation is successful, an approval letter will be issued to the new company. The S Pass holders are required to carry the approval letter until the next pass renewal. New S Pass cards will be issued to the S Pass holders upon renewal.

      Change of residential address

      To notify MOM Work Pass Division through:

      • EP Online

        The pass holder or company representative is required to log in to EP Online (SingPass is required). Click on "Change Particulars > Residential Address of Pass Holder" on the left function bar to update the residential address. Acknowledgment is immediate. The acknowledgment page must be printed and kept with the S Pass card.

        If the pass holder is an employer of a Foreign Domestic Worker (FDW), the pass holder's new residential address will be updated as the new place of work for the Foreign Domestic Worker.

      • Manual notification

        Download the Notification on Change of Residential Address FormNotification on Change of Residential Address Form.

        A notification letter will be sent to the new residential address within one week upon receiving the form. If the pass holder is holding a Disembarkation/Embarkation card (Green Card), the notification letter must be kept together with the Green Card.

      Change of travel documents (including renewal)

      Damaged/Defaced S Pass card

      S Pass holders whose S Pass cards are damaged or defaced are required to apply for a replacement card within seven days of such damage or defacement at the Work Pass Services Centre.

      Documents required

      Please bring along the following documents to replace the damaged/defaced card:

      • Original passport of the pass holder
      • The damaged/defaced card
      • $60 in cash only
      • An authorisation letter if a representative or employment agent is replacing the card on behalf of the pass holder. The representative or employment agent must bring along proper identification that bears his/her name, NRIC or passport number and photo-image for verification.

      How to apply

      Approach the Work Pass Services Centre (WPSC) located at:

      Singapore 089053

      Operating Hours:

      Monday to Friday: 8am - 4.30pm
      Please avoid peak hours from 12 noon to 2pm on weekdays.

      Collection of replacement card

      The replacement card will be ready for collection after four working days. Do bring along the reprint letter and the required documents stated on the letter to WPSC for card collection.

      Important notes

      S Pass holders are reminded to handle their S Pass cards with care at all times.

      Loss of S Pass card

      S Pass holders who have lost their S Pass cards are required to report the loss and apply for a replacement card in person within seven days at the Work Pass Services Centre.

      If the lost card is recovered after getting a replacement, it must be returned to MOM immediately.

      Collection of replacement card

      The replacement card will be ready for collection after four working days. Do bring along the following to WPSC for card collection:

      • The reprint letter and the required documents stated on the letter
      • An authorisation letter if a representative or employment agent is collecting the card on behalf of the pass holder. The representative or employment agent must bring along proper identification that bears his/her name, NRIC or passport number and photo-image for verification.

      Important notes:

      • The application for card replacement is subject to approval. MOM may call for an interview at any time, with the employer and pass holder before issuing the replacement card.
      • S Pass holders are reminded to handle their S Pass cards with care at all times. Strict action will be taken against the employers and/or S Pass holders who are found making false declarations on the loss of their cards. S Pass holders who lose their cards repeatedly are required to attend an interview together with their employers.
      • For those who lose their S Pass card overseas should fill up the Disembarkation/Embarkation card for visitors upon their return to Singapore.
