Increase corporate leaders’ accountability

To strengthen corporate leaders’ WSH ownership and hold corporate leaders accountable for WSH, top management must take responsibility for WSH lapses.

  • Require CEO to personally account to MOM and take responsibility for WSH rectifications.
  • Require CEO or a Board Director to attend a half-day in-person WSH programme. We will notify companies who are required to attend the training, which includes modules on:
    • The Approved Code of Practice for chief executives and board of directors’ WSH Duties
    • Root cause analysis of top incident types
  • Require companies to engage external auditors to conduct a thorough review of their WSH processes.
