One-time vaccination exercise for employers to protect their migrant workers from flu

  1. With the coming end of year flu season, the Assurance, Care and Engagement (ACE) Group under the Ministry of Manpower is organising a one-time exercise for employers to vaccinate their workers to protect them from flu. Vaccination will  help reduce the numbers of workers needing medical leave for flu or flu-like symptoms, minimise work disruption for employers, and result in fewer workers presenting with acute respiratory illness symptoms being assessed for possible COVID-19 infection.
  2. The flu vaccination at $25 per shot is available to all migrant workers in the Construction, Marine, or Process sectors (whether living in dormitories or in the community); and migrant workers residing in dormitories1. This is to protect workers who may be at higher risk of infections.
  3. Employers can register their workers for an appointment at MOM-designated venues at www.mom.gov.sg/register-flu-vaccine between 9 November 2020 and 30 November 2020. The vaccination exercise will be conducted from 1 December 2020 to 31 December 2020.
  4. The fight against infections, including COVID-19, is a shared responsibility amongst everyone. We encourage all employers to arrange for their workers to be vaccinated.
