  1. During the General Elections 2020 live TV debate on 1 July 2020, Mr Francis Yuen from the Progress Singapore Party said that Singapore has 100,000 local Professionals, Managers, Executives and Technicians (PMETs) who are out of jobs. This number is incorrect.

  2. According to the Report on Labour Force in Singapore 2019 released on 30 January 2020, there were 39,000 local unemployed PMETs as at June 2019.

  3. Data on unemployed residents by occupation are obtained from the Comprehensive Labour Force Survey which is conducted annually. The Report on Labour Force in Singapore for 2020 will be released early next year.
