Written Answer to PQ on AI Adoption and Workload Measures

NOTICE PAPER NO. 1399 OF 2026 FOR THE SITTING ON OR AFTER 07 OCTOBER 2026
QUESTION NO. 3185 FOR ORAL ANSWER

MP: Mr Sanjeev Kumar Tiwari

To ask the Acting Minister for Manpower in relation to the Ministry's recent report on Adoption of AI Among Firms (a) whether the Ministry can regularly measure the effect of AI adoption and job redesign on workload and working hours; and (b) whether it can consider incorporating workload and task-volume measures into iWorkHealth.

Answer:

MOM’s Artificial Intelligence Survey asks employers how AI adoption affects the redesign of job roles. This survey is conducted quarterly and will enable us to understand the effects of AI adoption on workload and working hours among employees in Singapore.

2 iWorkHealth is a psychosocial health assessment tool that helps employers identify common workplace stressors and psychosocial risks. It already includes questions that assess employees’ perception of their workload and task demands, which employers can use to monitor the impact of workplace initiatives, such as AI adoption and job redesign. As the usage of this tool is voluntary, the data will not be sufficiently representative to assess the overall impact of AI on workload and task demands in Singapore.
