To ask the Acting Minister for Manpower whether the Ministry will review the effectiveness of existing wage protection mechanisms for migrant workers, including whether salary payment records should be cross-checked against work permit data, to flag employers who repeatedly delay or default on wage payments to their migrant workers.

Answer:

1. The Member may refer to the reply to Parliamentary Questions No. 21 and No. 22 for the Sitting on 7 Jul 2026.

2. Protecting all workers and ensuring they are paid their salaries on time is a priority for the MOM. MOM will continue to review and strengthen our processes and safeguards to do so.
