To ask the Acting Minister for Manpower (a) whether the Ministry tracks transitions between salaried employment, unemployment, self-employment and business ownership among Singaporeans; and (b) whether it studies how AI-enabled self-employment and solo entrepreneurship can support workforce transitions, career resilience and lifelong employability.

Answer:

The Ministry of Manpower tracks job transitions of residents between different statuses of employment. Information on these transitions can be found in MOM's Labour Force in Singapore and Labour Market Reports, which are published on MOM's website.
