To ask the Minister for Manpower (a) whether the Ministry will consider tracking the number of working caregivers who concurrently care for both dependent children and elderly parents; and (b) if not, whether there are plans to collect and publish such data.
Answer:
The Ministry has begun tracking caregiving patterns, including the number of caregivers who concurrently care for children and parents. Based on our inaugural survey conducted in late 2025, around one in ten working caregivers fall into this group.
2 The Ministry is studying the data and will release more detailed findings when ready.
