To ask the Minister for Manpower (a) how the SkillsFuture Jobseeker Support scheme currently caters to support individuals who were previously self-employed or business owners but unfortunately needed to wind up their business and sought employment; and (b) how many of such individuals have benefited from the scheme to date.

Answer:

The SkillsFuture Jobseeker Support scheme provides temporary financial support to individuals who become involuntarily unemployed. Individuals who were previously self-employed, including owners of sole proprietorships or partnerships who have ceased their businesses, are not eligible for the scheme.
