To ask the Minister for Manpower from 2022 to 2025, on average each year, what are the number and percentage of private companies that provide flexi-care leave, such as for medical appointments and mental wellness, to employees.

Answer:

Based on MOM’s survey of private companies1, an average of 67.8%, or about 10,400 companies, provided unplanned time-off for employees to attend to personal matters, including medical appointments and other caregiving needs, from 2022 to 2024. Over the same period, companies also offered other forms of non-statutory leave, including non-statutory paid family care leave2 (34.5% or 5,300), paid sick leave without MC3 (27.9% or 4,600) and additional paid child sick leave4 (36.4% or 5,500).
