Written Answer to PQ on Number of workers without wage increase for past ten years

NOTICE PAPER NO. 2262 OF 2023 FOR THE SITTING ON OR AFTER 5 OCTOBER 2023
QUESTION NO. 5086 FOR WRITTEN ANSWER

MP: Mr Gan Thiam Poh

To ask the Minister for Manpower how many full-time workers earning per month (i) less than $1,999 (ii) between $2,000 and $2,999 (iii) between $3,000 and $3,999 and (iv) $4,000 and above, did not have any wage increase for the past ten years.

Answer:

Wage statistics are obtained from the Comprehensive Labour Force Survey (CLFS). As the CLFS is a snapshot survey and does not track the same individual over time, information on the number of workers who did not have wage increases in the past 10 years is not available.
