To ask the Minister for Manpower whether the foreign domestic worker levy concession can be extended to persons with major illnesses or medical conditions and their ill siblings.

Answer

The concession is already available today. Households with the following family members will be eligible for a foreign domestic worker levy concession:

a) Elderly aged 65 and above;

b) Children below the age of 16; or

c) Persons certified by authorised healthcare professionals to require assistance with at least one Activity of Daily Living (ADL). Examples of ADL include showering, dressing, feeding or toileting.
