Does ill-treatment of a foreign employee include mental or emotional abuse?

A foreign employee is ill-treated if the employer neglects their well-being.

Other than physical and sexual abuse, this also include mental and emotional abuse.

All employers must treat your foreign employees with care and respect.

MOM will take appropriate action against employers who ill-treat their foreign workers or foreign domestic workers.

If convicted, employers may be fined, jailed, or both. You may also be banned from hiring foreign employees.
