How to apply for GIRO
You can apply for eGIRO if your bank is
one of the participating banks. eGIRO is a fast and convenient way to apply for GIRO.
- Log in to apply for eGIRO in your account summary or under GIRO.
- Complete your GIRO application when you are redirected to your selected internet banking portal.
To avoid unsuccessful GIRO deductions, please pay attention to these optional fields.
Payment or transaction limit
If you choose to set a limit, check that your levy bill does not exceed this payment limit. You may wish to set a higher limit above what is required for your monthly payment. This is in case of unforeseen increases such as changes in levy rates or penalty charges incurred.
Billing end date or expiry date
You may wish to leave this field blank. If you indicate an end date but later need to use the GIRO arrangement beyond this date, you cannot amend it. You will need to reapply. There will not be any notification to inform you when the GIRO arrangement ends.
- If you are using a corporate bank account to apply for GIRO, you may need additional approval from your authoriser(s). In such cases, the authoriser(s) must approve the eGIRO request within 48 hours. Otherwise, the application will be unsuccessful, and you will need to reapply.
What happens next?
- Pay levy using PayNow QR while waiting for your GIRO deduction to take effect.
- Wait for our email to notify you of your GIRO arrangement outcome and the first deduction date.
You can
check the status of your GIRO application online.
