You are entitled to take 6 days of unpaid infant care leave during a 12-month period. You and your employer should reach an agreement on when those days are to be taken, keeping in mind work schedules and deadlines.
If you're taking infant care leave for matters that can't be postponed, like immunisations and medical appointments, your employer is strongly encouraged to grant you leave.
