Autoclaves have to be type-approved and listed on the MOM website.
Additionally, autoclaves must comply to the following:
- Have a steam pressure control device attached to it to keep the pressure at or below the maximum permissible working pressure of the boiler.
- Have a safety valve attached to the boiler. This safety valve must be examined and tested by a competent person at least once a month, and the report of every such test must be recorded and made available to an inspector upon request.
