In view of the COVID-19 situation, there is no need to visit MOM Services Centre for advisory and transaction services. If you have made an appointment with us, we will contact you instead. Our eServices, web chat and hotline remain available. We encourage customers to visit our website for the latest updates, including changes to our work pass services from 7 April to 4 May.

Can I make a complaint to MOM if I am a Singaporean who applied for a job, but the firm hired an EP holder instead?

You may wish to contact the company to find out more about why your application was not successful. Employers may have valid reasons for choosing one candidate over another, such as the person’s qualifications, experience, interpersonal skills, and other job-related qualities.

What is important is that the hiring process is fair and that applicants are considered fairly based on merit.

You should lodge a complaint only if you have reason to believe that the employer has not been fair in its hiring process. You can report them to TAFEP.
