You can sign up for an EP Online account if you are:

  • A business owner. You must be a Singapore citizen, Singapore permanent resident or an EntrePass holder.
  • An employee of a registered business. You must be a Singapore citizen or Singapore permanent resident.
  • A foreign employee of a registered business. You must hold an Employment Pass (EP), Personalised Employment Pass (PEP), or S Pass.

To sign up for an account:

  1. Log in to Work Pass Account Registration (WPAR) using your SingPass.
  2. Follow the instructions on the screen.
  3. If the application is successful, you will get a one-time PIN. This PIN will be mailed to your given address within 7 working days after the approval.
  4. Use the PIN to log in to EP Online for the first time.
  • During registration, an administrator (admin user) has to be appointed. This person should preferably be the business owner, a director or a senior employee.
  • The administrator can add another administrator (total 2) and up to 4 users. Having a second administrator is advisable to minimise disruption if the administrator leaves your organisation or is not available.
  • All administrators and users who register from 1 February 2016 will require SingPass’ 2-Step Verification (2FA) to log in. The PIN to activate 2FA will be mailed to their residential addresses (for Singapore citizens and permanent residents only) within 7 working days.

You can apply for an EP Online account as an employment agency to transact on behalf of your clients.

To sign up for an account:

  1. Prepare the required documents (download all forms):
    • Complete the “Apply for or Manage EPOL / WPOL access (Employment Agencies)” form.
    • Complete the “Declaration for EP Online / WP Online User Agreement” form.
      Note: The Declaration Form for the EP Online / WP Online User Agreement must be signed by a key appointment holder.
    • A copy of any key appointment holder’s NRIC (front and back).
  2. Submit the documents via iSubmit. Select option 3: EP Online & WP Online Accounts Administration.
  3. If the application is successful you will get a one-time PIN. This PIN will be mailed to your given address within 7 working days after the approval.

What are the browser requirements?Show

EP Online is best viewed with Internet Explorer 8.

You will need to allow browser popups for EP Online.

What transactions I can do in EP Online?Show

The appointed administrator and user can do the following transactions using EP Online:

  • Apply for new Employment Pass (excluding Sponsorship scheme), S Pass, Dependant's Pass (except dependants of Personalised Employment Pass), Long Term Visit Pass, Letter of Consent and Training Employment Pass (not applicable to employment agencies).
  • Renew Employment Pass (excluding Sponsorship scheme), S Pass, Dependant's Pass (except dependants of Personalised Employment Pass), Long Term Visit Pass and Letter of Consent.
  • Upload relevant supporting documents for a work pass or related pass application.
  • Appeal for rejected applications.
  • Check application and renewal status.
  • Issue Employment Pass, S Pass and related passes.
  • Cancel Employment Pass, S Pass and related passes.
  • View rejection reasons for most of the unsuccessful applications.
  • Print application outcome letter and Issuance of Notification Letter.
  • Check organisation's S Pass quota and tier information.

What payment methods can I use?Show

You can pay using eNets Credit, eNets Debit or InterBank GIRO.

How do I pay admin fees through GIROShow

To pay admin fees through GIRO:

  1. Set up your EPOL account if you have not done so.
  2. Print the GIRO form.
  3. Fill in Part I of the form.
  4. Mail the original form to:

  5. You will receive an acceptance letter from us in about 4 weeks.

Before you receive the acceptance letter, you need to pay the fees using eNets Credit or Debit.

GIRO deductions will take place on the 17th of the following month (or on the next working day, if the 17th is a Sunday or a public holiday).

What is the difference between an administrator and a user?Show

The administrator can:

  • Grant access to company employees as EP Online users.
  • Terminate users' accounts if they leave or are no longer authorised to perform transactions.

How do I change administrators or users?Show

To change or appoint another administrator or user to any of your accounts, login to your EP Online account and go to Manage User Account.

What are the requirements for uploading documents?Show

Ensure that your scanned copies are clear and correct. If not, you may be asked to re-submit them.

Each document must be in PDF format and under 2MB in size.

Documents that are not in English should be submitted together with an official English translation. Scan and upload both documents as one file.

You can refer to the list of supporting documents to be uploaded for the various pass applications.

When are the peak periods for EP Online?Show

The peak periods for EP Online transactions are:

  • Daily from 10am to 12pm, and 2pm to 4pm.
  • Mondays and days just before or after a public holiday.

You may experience slower speeds during these periods. Avoid them if you can.
