You can apply for a Letter of Consent to work in Singapore if you are an eligible Dependant’s Pass holder who wishes to operate a business.

Dependant’s Pass holders can only begin operating the business after receiving the LOC.
Submit an application
Before applying, check that your Dependant’s Pass is valid for at least 3 months.
If it is not, you need to renew your Dependant’s Pass.
Processing time: Within 4 weeks for most cases.
To apply:
- Submit an online request to apply for an LOC.
- You will receive the outcome of your request within 1 week. If your request is approved, you can either proceed to apply for the LOC by:
- Using EP eService on myMOM Portal.
- Engaging an employment agent to apply on your behalf.
- Check your application status after 3 weeks. It may take longer if additional information is required.
If your application is still pending after 3 week, please check your email for our request of additional documents.
You will need to
submit the documents > Work Passes > Choose the application record > Submit documents. Alternatively, select ‘View details’ to see the action required from you.
- If the LOC is approved, we will email you the outcome.
