The WSH (Work at Heights) Regulations was developed as a dedicated subsidiary legislation under the WSH Act to address key industry gaps, which includes the lack of proper supervision, planning, competency framework for working at heights and the dispersing of Work at Heights requirements in various WSH legislations.
The WSH (Work at Heights) Regulations covers the requirements for all working at height activities and comes into force in 2 phases
1st phase - May 2013:
- Applies to Working at Heights in ALL Factories
- General Provisions which include Work on Roof Fragile Surfaces and
Industrial Rope Access System
2nd phase - May 2014:
- Applies to Working at Heights in ALL Workplaces
- Requirement to implement Fall Prevention Plan(FPP) and
