Cancellation of Pass
The Dependant’s Pass must be cancelled when:
- The Employment Pass or S Pass holder’s pass is no longer valid
- The S Pass has been revoked due to default in levy payment by the S Pass holder's employer
- The Employment Pass or S Pass holder has attained Permanent Residency in Singapore
- The Dependant’s Pass holder intends to leave Singapore indefinitely after the pass has expired
How to Cancel a Pass
The sponsoring company/authorised third party (e.g. Employment Agency) acting on behalf of the company can cancel the pass electronically via EP Online.
Cancellation through Employment Pass Online
The Dependant's Pass can be cancelled through EP Online - an online portal for selected work pass transactions. The cancellation status is available through Employment Pass Validity Status query page.

Short Term Visit Pass
A 30-day Short Term Visit Pass will be issued upon cancellation of the Dependent’s Pass.
After Cancellation of Pass
The sponsoring company/authorised third party (e.g. Employment Agency) acting on behalf of a company has to:
- Print the cancellation acknowledgment letter (if applicable) and Short Term Visit Pass (if applicable) via EP Online. The foreigner has to surrender the Short Term Visit Pass to the Immigration Checkpoint Officer at the point of departure.
- Return the Dependant’s Pass within seven days from the date of cancellation by:
- posting it to MOM Work Pass Division;
- depositing it into the Deposit Box at the Employment Pass Services Centre;
- surrendering it at the Immigration Checkpoints at the point of departure.
