Change of Licensee
Changing the licensee of your employment agency
If you wish to give up your licence to another person to take over the employment agency:
- You must prepare a declaration (to be submitted after In-Principle Approval), stating the intention to sell/hand over the business to the proposed licensee.
- The proposed licensee must submit a new application for the Employment Agency licence using the existing ACRA number.
You can change the licensee of your employment agency provided that your agency is registered with ACRA as a business. You are not allowed to change the licensee of your employment agency if it is a company or limited liability partnership.
Once the In-Principle Approval is granted for the proposed licensee, you are required to submit a termination application via OBLS. This would indicate you have given your consent for this new proposed licensee to take over your employment agency. Your old licence will be terminated once the new licence is issued.
Reapplication for a new WP Online account
If you currently subscribe to WP Online (WPOL) services, you will need to reapply for a new WPOL account under the new licence number. Once your new licence is effective, you will not be able to log on to the WPOL account under your old licence number to perform any work permit transactions. You are advised to print out all outstanding work permit application forms and In Principle Approval letters before your new licence is effective.
Please refrain from submitting new work permit applications three days before the effective date of your new licence.
