As an employer, what are the health and safety measures that I should implement for dormitory residents?

You are encouraged to facilitate COVID-19 Antigen Rapid Tests (ART) as soon as the following groups arrive at your dormitory:

  • New workers from overseas
  • Workers returning from overseas leave

Has symptoms such as a fever, sore throat, cough, or runny nose

Wear a surgical mask and seek immediate medical attention.

While recovering, they should stay in their own rooms or isolation facilities within the dormitories.

They should not leave their room unless necessary, such as to buy food.

  • Workers with milder symptoms may get medical services under the Primary Care Plan (PCP).
  • Workers with severe symptoms, such as drowsiness, chest pain, or shortness of breath, should call 995 immediately and seek medical treatment at any hospital’s emergency department.

Does not have any symptoms, but tested ART positive

Minimise social interactions, wear a mask, and avoid crowded places for at least 5 days.

The worker may continue to go to work during this time.
