Renew a Crane Operator registration

You should renew your crane operator registration before it expires.

You can renew your registration when you receive the renewal notice. You will need to meet the requirements for renewal.

If you renew your registration after it expires, you may need to fulfil additional requirements.

For foreigners	Valid work pass (at least 3 months from renewal date) Occupation listed on work pass must be "Crane/Hoist operator (excluding port)"
For operators aged 50 and above	Pass the medical examination before renewal
All applicants	Complete required training or tests based on your registration status (see refer to table under Renewal Process below)

Do not terminate your registration if you plan to renew. Termination requires a new application and additional fees.

If you are 50 years or older, download and complete the appropriate medical form.
- Medical examination form A for Crane Operators aged 50 to 69 years
- Medical examination form B for Crane Operators aged 70 years or above
Fill up the sections to be completed by applicant.
Arrange and go for a medical examination with any General Practitioner. Bring along the medical examination form.
Obtain the necessary certificate(s) based on your registration status. You must submit your renewal application within six months of obtaining the test or full course certificate.

Not expired	Attend Workshop to Enhance Safety of Crane Operation (WESCO) course. Submit WESCO certificate.
Expired for less than 6 months	Attend Workshop to Enhance Safety of Crane Operation (WESCO) course. Submit WESCO certificate.
Expired for 6 months to less than 3 years	Pass the Crane Operation test by an accredited training provider for each crane type you are renewing. Separate tests are required for different crane types. Submit Crane Operation test certificate for each crane type you are renewing. WESCO is not required and will not be accepted.
Expired for 3 years to less than 5 years	Attend and pass the full refresher course for each crane type you are renewing. Separate courses are required for different crane types. Submit the final Crane Operation Refresher course certificate (issued after passing Crane operation test) for each crane type you are renewing. WESCO is not required and certificate for passing the theory test will not be accepted.
Expired for 5 years or more	Attend and pass the full course for each crane type you are renewing. Separate courses are required for different crane types. Submit the final full Crane Operation course certificate (issued after passing Crane operation test) for each crane type you are renewing. WESCO is not required and certificate for passing the theory test will not be accepted.
