Re-register a Pressure Vessel

You need to re-register a Pressure Vessel if it is moved from the registered location or changes ownership.

Owner’s responsibilities

You need to re-register a Pressure Vessel in the following scenarios
  • When you buy or take over an already-registered pressure vessel from a company:
    • Ensure that the Pressure Vessel has been de-registered by the company before buying or taking over the equipment.
    • Contact the registered owner to de-register the Pressure Vessel if it has not been de-registered.
    • Request the following documents from the previous owner for an Authorised Examiner to re-register the pressure vessel:
      • Previous Report of Examination of the pressure vessel issued by an Authorised Examiner.
      • Relevant past registration documentation.
      • Previous reports of Non-Destructive Examination conducted.
  • When your company changes its Unique Entity Number (UEN).
  • When you move a pressure vessel from one workplace location to another (Non-mobile units only). 
Engage an Authorised Examiner to re-register your Pressure Vessel  Find an Authorised Examiner for Pressure Vessel 
Provide the following documents to the Authorised Examiner 
  • Previous Report of Examination of the pressure vessel issued by an Authorised Examiner.
  • Relevant past registration documentation.
  • Previous reports of Non-Destructive Examination conducted.

Authorised Examiner’s responsibilities  

Ensure all required documents related to re-registration of Pressure Vessels are submitted to you
  • Previous Report of Examination of the pressure vessel issued by an Authorised Examiner.
  • Relevant past registration documentation.
  • Previous reports of Non-Destructive Examination conducted.
Carry out the following
  • Determine the test(s) required to evaluate the integrity of the pressure vessel.
  • Request information such as past history and operating conditions.
  • Issue a report of examination if the pressure vessel meets the requirements.
