Who it is for	Eligible unskilled or semi-skilled foreign trainees or students on practical training in Singapore for up to 6 months.
Who can apply	An employer needs to apply for the permit.
Qualifying salary	No minimum required.
What is the duration	Up to 6 months.
Is it renewable	No. Foreign employees from related overseas companies cannot get another TWP until 6 months after the last one expires or gets cancelled. Foreign students can only be granted a TWP once.
Passes for family	Not available.
Quota and levy	Employers may be subject to quota and levy for each Work Permit holder.
Medical insurance	Employers must provide medical insurance.

Before applying

- Find out the documents required for applying.

Before worker's arrival

Apply for Work Permit
- Apply for the Work Permit. Once approved, you will get an in-principle approval to bring your worker into Singapore.
Prepare for worker's arrival
- Ensure that your worker complies with the latest travel requirements.
- Buy a security bond.
- Buy medical insurance and submit the insurance details online.
- Buy work injury compensation insurance (if applicable).

Upon worker's arrival

Get the Work Permit issued
- Get the permit issued and receive a notification letter stating whether registration is required.
- (If required) Make an appointment to register their fingerprints and photo.
- Receive the Work Permit card at the address provided 5 working days after registration or document verification.

When required

- Apply for a replacement if the permit card is lost, stolen or damaged.
- Cancel the permit if your worker no longer works for you.
