Early retrenchment alert

You are encouraged to submit early alerts to MOM while you are working on your retrenchment plans. Alerting MOM early allows you to receive advice as needed, and referrals to outplacement support from WSG or e2i. This alert is voluntary and takes less than 5 minutes to submit.

You will still need to notify MOM of the retrenchment exercise within 5 working days after the affected employees are notified.

Notifying MOM of retrenchment exercises will enable Workforce Singapore (WSG), the tripartite partners – the Ministry of Manpower, the National Trades Union Congress (NTUC) and the Singapore National Employers Federation (SNEF) – and other relevant agencies to help affected employees find alternative employment and/or identify relevant training to enhance employability.
