National Wages Council Invites Views about Annual Wage Guidelines

  1. The National Wages Council (NWC), a tripartite body comprising employer, union and government representatives1, will convene in April and May 2014 to develop wage and wage-related guidelines for 2014/2015.
  2. In its deliberations on wage guidelines, the NWC will consider factors such as Singapore’s economic performance, as well as the domestic and global economic outlook. The NWC will also take into account Singapore's economic competitiveness, labour market conditions, inflation, and productivity growth.
  3. Members of the public are encouraged to share their views about what could be included in the annual wage recommendations, as well as other wage-related issues. Your feedback will be considered as part of the Council’s deliberations. All feedback should be sent to the Secretary of the NWC through mail or email by 25 April 2014:
