How do I get my Malaysian workers' work passes issued or renewed if they use the automated gates at ICA's checkpoints and have the ICA-issued electronic visit pass (e-Pass)?

From 11 September 2023, the Frequent Traveller Programme will be replaced with the latest Automated Clearance Initiative (ACI). For more information on ACI, please refer to ICA's website.

While getting the work pass issued or renewed using our eServices, complete these steps:

Pass type Steps to complete
Work Permit
  1.  When asked Did the worker enter Singapore using the automated gates and was not issued a SG Arrival Card?, select No.
  2. Under Type of Pass, select Social Visit Pass (SVP).
  3. Under DE no., enter the DE number as stated on the worker’s electronic visit pass (e-Pass).
  4. Under Date SVP was issued, enter the date of issuance of Visit Pass as stated on the e-Pass.
  5. Under No. of days worker is allowed to stay in Singapore, enter the number of days of stay granted as stated on the e-Pass.
  6. Upload the worker’s e-Pass.
All other pass types
  1. When asked Did the foreigner use the automated gates to enter Singapore?, select No.
  2. Under Pass Type, select Arrival Card / Short-Term Visit Pass.
  3. Under Arrival Date, enter the date of issuance of Visit Pass as stated on the foreigner’s electronic visit pass (e-Pass).
  4. Under Expiry Date, enter the last day of stay allowed in Singapore stated on the e-Pass.
  5. Under DE no., enter the DE number as stated on the e-Pass.
  6. Upload the foreigner’s e-Pass.
