How will MOM monitor a company's job advertisements and whether they consider Singaporeans?

Companies have to declare the corresponding advertisement ID before applying for an Employment Pass.

However, it would not be appropriate for MOM to institute intrusive checks because many companies already advertise their job vacancies and consider Singaporeans as part of their recruitment process.

Instead, we will reserve additional scrutiny for firms with a disproportionately low share of Singaporeans in professional, managerial and executive (PME) jobs, or firms that have repeated complaints about their discriminatory practices.

Whistle-blowers in such firms can contact us if they have specific information about discriminatory HR practices.
