Monitoring and Surveillance

The Workplace Safety and Health Act requires all stakeholders to ensure that risks to people's health are minimised. The subsidary regulations require Employers to carry out two types surveillance: Medical Monitoring and Hygiene Monitoring.

Companies should conduct regular inspections to uncover safety or health lapses at the workplace. Such inspections also help to educate workers on the hazards they might face at work.
