Work Pass Exempt Activities -  Inform MOM

Making a Notification

Foreigners performing any Work Pass Exempt Activity are required to notify MOM online after they have arrived in Singapore and obtained a Short Term Visit Pass issued by the Immigration & Checkpoints Authority of Singapore. MOM must be notified before the foreigner starts performing the Work Pass Exempt Activity.

The information required for making an e-notification is as follows:

  • Personal Particulars:
    • Name
    • Date of Birth
    • Gender
    • Nationality
    • Passport/travel document number
    • Passport/travel document expiry date
  • Disembarkation/Embarkation card number
  • Short Term Visit Pass expiry date
  • Type of activity that will be performed
  • Period of activity (start-date and end-date)

Extending the duration of stay

Foreigners who need to extend the period of stay beyond the original time period must resubmit the notification, and update their travel document number and the travel document expiry date online.

Requirements for an extension are as follows:

  • The extension must be done before the end date of the activity indicated in the first e-notification.
  • The applicant must have a valid Short Term Visit Pass to cover the new period. If the new period of activity extends beyond the validity of your Short Term Visit Pass, you must extend your Short Term Visit Pass with the Immigration & Checkpoints Authority before filing the extension.
  • The total period of the activity does not exceed 60 days.
