Minister for Manpower Tan Chuan-Jin to Attend G20 Labour and Employment Ministerial Meeting in Melbourne, Australia

1. Minister for Manpower Tan Chuan-Jin will be attending the G20 Labour and Employment Ministerial Meeting (LEMM) in Melbourne, Australia, from 10 to 11 September 2014.
2. The G20 LEMM will focus on the theme, "Preventing structural unemployment, creating better jobs and boosting participation". The meeting will discuss challenges and actions to address structural unemployment, as well as boost labour force participation and the creation of quality jobs.
3. Minister Tan, accompanied by senior officials from the Ministry of Manpower, will share Singapore’s approach and perspectives on balancing a flexible labour market and ensuring inclusive growth for all.
