The 4th Ministerial Consultations on Overseas Employment and Contractual Labour for Countries of Origin in Asia, 21 to 22 January 2008, Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates

Dr Ng Eng Hen, Minister for Manpower and Second Minister for Defence, will be attending the fourth Ministerial Consultations on Overseas Employment and Contractual Labour for Countries of Origin in Asia, held in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates (UAE), from 21 to 22 January 2008.

2.   The Ministerial Consultations is a forum for both labour sending and receiving countries to share views and experiences in the field of labour mobility policies, and discuss steps for the effective management of labour mobility and temporary contractual labour.

3.   Dr Ng will also hold bilateral discussions on manpower and defence issues with his counterparts at the sidelines of the event.

4.   Dr Ng will be accompanied by officials from the Ministry of Manpower.
