New Risk Management requirement for WSH Officers

To ensure that WSH Officers are competent in discharging their duties

Workplace Safety & Health Officers are now required to pass a two-hour Risk Management test prior to the renewal of their practicing certificates. Those who fail the test will be required to attend a 2-day training course, “RM Course for WSHOs,” before taking the test again. Officers who pass the test will be awarded the Certificates of Performance/Proficiency in RM.

This policy is effective from 1 March 2010.

Workplace Safety & Health Officers who hold the Specialist Diploma in WSH issued from 29 April 2008 onwards are exempt from taking the Risk Management Test.
