Is commission factored into the calculation of benefits like maternity leave and overtime pay?

If commission forms a part of your regular remuneration as an employee, then it's considered part of your basic salary.

When calculating how much you should be paid for Employment Act benefits (including maternity leave, overtime pay, hospitalisation leave, sick leave and the encashment of annual leave), take your average monthly commission over the 6-month period immediately before the claim, and add it to your salary.
